Fiber Cement Siding, like Hardiplank siding, is made of fiber cement. It is named after the manufacturer of this type of siding, James Hardie. As all other fiber cement siding products nationwide, Hardiplank is made of cement, sand and cellulose fiber. Fiber cement siding is not prone to insect attacks, fire or moisture. It is dimensionally stable and will change size very little with thermal surges. That is why it needs to be painted less often.

Vinyl Siding is a popular material for the exterior of homes. Made from polyvinyl chloride plastic that is mixed with color pigments. Advances in vinyl siding have resulted in a less expensive product and requires much less maintenance to keep it looking good and performing well. Unlike wood, vinyl does not rot, mildew, or allow for the growth of algae. Vinyl siding can be easily installed over most exterior materials, such as brick, concrete, metal, and most wood siding.

Cedar Siding is a great building material that comes in a number of styles like bevel siding, tongue & groove, lap siding, board & batten and cove. It is mainly made of Western Red Cedar which tends to be the preferred wood for its beauty and durability. Cedar contains natural sap and oil that protects it from insects and moisture. Cedar siding can be easily installed over most exterior materials, such as brick, concrete, metal, and most wood siding.

Log Siding is a distinctive look for a home's exterior that achieves a look of rustic warmth and is particularly well-suited for homes in mountain or wooded areas. Often made from cedar or pine wood, log exteriors are an excellent insulator. Log siding can be easily installed over most exterior materials, such as brick, concrete, metal, and most wood siding.

Composition Shingles or Asphalt Shingles
are one of the most popular roofing materials used and one of the most affordable. Composition shingles are low maintenance and most come with a Class “A” Fire Rating. They last from 15 to 60 years, come in a wide range of colors, architectural styles and brands, and some composition shingles come with an Energy Star Rating.

Metal Roofing comes in painted steel, painted aluminum and copper and is a great choice for many home owners. Whether you’re building a new home or reroofing an existing one, a metal roof will provide long-lasting protection and will come with a great warranty. Metal roofing withstands the most extreme weather conditions and has had a lot of improvements in the last few years. It is environmentally sound, can be recycled and is a great option for Green building. It is also low maintenance, has a high wind resistance and a Class “A” Fire Rating.

Cedar Shakes or Shingles are a premium product and can bring a natural warmth and beauty to your home. They will last up to 40 years with very low maintenance and will take on a wonderful patina as they age. Being a wood product, they can easily be recycled, are a renewable resource and are biodegradable. Cedar shingles also come in a wide range of sizes and shapes.
